Spacetalk is now able to sell its smartwatches globally after a low-cost, capital-light expansion. The company has launched dedicated e-commerce sites in a total of 15 markets.

Hardware sales accounted for 34% of revenue in the fourth quarter of 2025.(1) Thus, the new markets could increase sales and have a direct and positive impact on the company's balance sheet.

Hardware sales also boost recurring revenue, as Spacetalk CEO Simon Crowther explains:

“Every time someone buys one of our smartwatches, they also subscribe to our app or one of our mobile plans, if Spacetalk Mobile is available in their market. This was not the case when I took over as CEO.

“That means we are now what we call a ‘hardware-enabled software company’. Hardware sales lead to recurring revenue and encourage our customers to take up other products from the Spacetalk ecosystem.”

Crowther pointed out that at the end of the most recent quarter, more than half of Spacetalk mobile customers were on annual plans. The number of paid mobile subscribers had jumped 44% from the fourth quarter of FY2025.(1)

“We're working hard on growing lifetime value. Our kids' smartwatches, the seniors’ smartwatches, the app, and the mobile plans include something for everyone in the family. Spacetalk used to be a brand that kids would outgrow, but now Spacetalk grows right along with you,” Crowther said.
